On June 2,3,4, 2000 the first ME weekend of the Sta. Quiteria Marriage Encounter Community was held at the Sta. Rafaela Retreat House.A group of four (4) dedicated encountered couples from Good Shepherd namely: Br. Rudy and Linda Punzal, Bro. Greg and Myra Mariano, Bro. Nards and Stella Algabre and Bro. Pat and Bening Guilalas supported Fr. Nick Gito, MSC in establishing the Sta. Quiteria ME Community. There were 16 candidates on the first weekend wherein Fr. Nick Gito was the team priest and the team couples were Bro. Pat and Susan Nazareno and Bro. Roger and Belle Carlos both respected couples from Blessed Sacrament ME Community who stood as the sponsors for the minister to widow/widower unmarried individual with child/children, or whose spouse is working abroad with the conduct of the Solo Parent Encounter. Aside from been one of its ministries. The Youth encounter thru life in the spirit seminar (LSS) Wherein work for character formation.
